Members of our partnership are experienced and familiar with the procedures to be followed when dealing with a wide variety of disputes including issues which may arise around the ownership and use of buildings. These could include boundary and building disputes, dilapidations, rights of way, defective works by builders and specialist contractors.
We are able to prepare reports on both building defects and contractual disputes along with other problems that may arise.
Party Wall & Boundary Disputes
T he act provides a framework for preventing and resolving disputes in relation to party walls, boundary walls and excavations near neighbouring buildings.
Anyone proposing to carry out work of the kinds described in the Act must give adjoining owners notice of their intentions.
Party wall and boundary disputes are a common area of conflict between neighbours. There are many issues which arise regarding the line of boundary between properties and to avoid lengthy and expensive disputes we recommend you gain independent professional advice at an early stage.
